In these pre-digital days, there were far fewer photos available, but Sarah Brookman, 1st bassoon on this picture and still so today, has provided many. This example shows a concert in Quorn Rawlins on 20 March 1982. The programme was Mozart-Overture Don Giovanni, Bruch-Scottish Fantasy Op. 46 with Robert Gibbs, then a student at the Royal College of Music, on violin, folllowed by Haydn - Symphony No. 92.
Note that there are at least 4 other orchestra members on this picture who are still playing with us now.
